Carly Allen Throckmorton, ADCRG, is the director/owner of the Killarney Irish Dance Company.
In 2011, Carly received her Teaching Certification (TCRG) and in Sept. 2023 she received her Adjudication Certification (ADCRG) from the An Coimisiun Le Rinci Gaelacha of Ireland.
She is also a certified group fitness technician/instructor through the ACE.
Carly began Irish Dancing at the age of six in Boise Idaho under the direction of Terry Jung and Bella Yerina, TCRG from the O'Connor School of Irish Dance. Carly began student teaching at age 11 for Treasure Valley Academy of Irish Dance. Recognizing her love for teaching, she knew at that point she wanted to open her own school in the Boise Valley. She continued dancing and teaching with other TCRG's who eventually took over the local dance school in the Boise area. Realizing her goals of wanting to compete in the World Championships in Irish Dance she decided to train out of state with the Claddagh Dance Company and experienced a higher level of training enabling her to grow as a dancer & as a person. Creating a lifelong mentor in Maire O'Connell, TCRG/ADCRG of Claddagh Irish Dance Company.
Carly has danced and competed all over the United States, Canada, and Ireland. Carly is a multiple medal holder in the Western Region Oireachtas, North American Irish Dance Championships and is a multi-World qualifier for the World Irish Dance Championships. She has had the opportunity to train with the best of the best, including Award Winning World Champion and Lord of the Dance lead, John Carey; Dearbhla Lennon, a champion Irish dancer who danced lead with Riverdance and Lord of the Dance, and Máire O’Connell, S.D.C.R.G. the owner and director of the Claddagh Irish Dance Company and the most sought after and top instructor in North America. Carly has also had the honor of dancing for the President of Ireland and the former Governor of Idaho and United States Secretary of Interior Dirk Kempthorn. Carly has trained and performed with Maggie Darlington, the current lead of Riverdance.
The mission for the KIllarney Irish Dance Company is to spread the Irish Culture through Irish Step Dancing in the Boise area and the surrounding communities. Sharing our genre of dance is Killarney Irish Dance Company’s ultimate passion.
Tiny Jig Instructor
Lacey Renz was born and raised in Boise, Idaho. She trained with Treasure Valley Academy of Irish Dance for over 10 years, competing and performing all over Boise area and the Western Region. Lacey is excited to be a part of the Killarney Irish Dance Company as a Tiny Jig Instructor. She holds a Masters degree in Literacy, Language and Culture from Boise State University. She also obtained a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education K-8 along with a Bachelors degree in Arts History and Visual Design. Lacey has been teaching throughout the Valley for over 10 years.
Lacey is also a mother of 3 amazing kids, including her son, one of Killarney’s World Qualifiers. Lacey has been part of the Killarney Family from the beginning and has always been a great support for our dancers.
Brynna has been with the Killarney Family for over 6 years helping with classes, performances and events.
